Marc Menefee

Marc Menefee is a free-lance sculptor and painter.  Born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas, he moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1976.  Returning to Arkansas in June of 1992, Menefee opened his sculpting and painting studio in Hot Springs National Park.  A self-taught artist, Menefee is influenced by Primative African ARt.  menefee has taken hi interest in the human form to basic abstract levels.  Working with stone allows him the opportunity to blend the natural and organic shapes found in nature with the contemporary forms and ideas of  Moder Art today.  While working in metal,  Menefee creates large scale figurative pieces that have a delicat, dream like quality.

Menefee's art has been shown in several art exhibitions and galleries regional, national and international. He currently maintains a home and studio in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
