DENNIS JOHNSON

"Apples and Oranges"

Dennis Johnson has been painting for over thirty years since he first received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  This Oklahoma native creates artwork that is meant to be studied.  Layer upon layer of color creates a rich and colorful background for the shapes that Johnson seems to suspend in mid-air on his canvas.  If one looks long enough, one might discover hidden words within the shapes created by the negative spaces.  Johnson's work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and private collections nation wide.
