For over forty years, Dr. Adams has studied, taught and created art of all types in all mediums.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Texas/Arlington in 1971, a Master of Fine Art from Sam Houston State University in 1974 and a Doctorate in higher Education from the University of North Texas in 1983.

Since 1978, Dr. Adams has served as adjunct faculty at a variety of colleges and universities throughout Texas and Vermont.  her most satisfying experience with the educational system is that as a result of her influence and teaching methods, many of her students have graduated to careers as professional artists.  She supports the growth of younger artists in her home studio.  Some of her prints are in the permanent collection of the National museum of Women in the Arts located in Washington, DC.  Dr. Adams has shown her work at many exhibitions, galleries, foundations and restaurants throughout the U.S., as well as participating in charity auctions in both the U.S. and Europe.
